I have many uses for the Oster 3 cup mini chopper with a glass bowl such as making hummus for my husband to eat, making pie crusts, and other things that require a food processor.

I really like this mini chopper when I need to use it. There are a few drawbacks that I don’t like about this processor. Click here to jump ahead to read it.

Having a food processor is very useful for preparing your food. It will save you a lot of time and make preparing your meals much easier. I wish I had gotten one sooner. 😂

Two Speeds Motor

This gadget has two speeds with a powerful 250-watt for the motor. That means it has two buttons with I and II. The I button is low speed.

It is for using soft ingredients. The II button is the high speed. It is for hard ingredients. So whichever buttons to press depends on what kind of food you will be using the chopper for.

Chop, Grind, Mince, and Puree

You can use this either to chop, grind, mince, or puree. So far I use it for grinding graham crackers into crumbs to make my key lime pie crusts. I also puree chickpeas and sesame seeds for my hummus.

Bowl

The container is a tempered glass bowl which I like. I don’t prefer having a plastic bowl holder if I have a choice.

To me, it is easier to break and you can’t usually wash it in a dishwasher. I like having another option for cleaning if I don’t like handwashing it.

The tempered glass bowl is scratch and stain-resistant. It can hold up to 3 cups of dry food and 1 cup of liquid.

The bowl is pretty lightweight. I can just use one of my hands to hold it. The glass bowl has some cup measurements imprinted, like 1 to 3 cups.

It also has imprinted the maximum level of liquid you should add. If you do more than the imprinted level, it will overflow when you are operating it.

The Oster mini chopper is supposed to come with the following parts: a chopping dual stainless blade, cover, tempered glass bowl, and motor. Be sure you have all the parts. The cable cord is attached to the motor and can’t be detached.

This is a very good mini chopper to use for things equal to 3 cups or less, like making hummus, or salsa for eating chips.

Recently when I started making desserts, I needed a bigger food processor to be able to make two pie crusts. I am giving this a rating of 4.3 because of the drawbacks below. I have had this food chopper for about two years now and it is still working well.

✅ Pros:

• It is very easy to use.
• It is performing as it’s supposed to be.
• Cleaning up is pretty fast. If you want you can put the glass bowl in the dishwasher.
• The price was pretty reasonable when I first bought it. Sorry, I forgot how much I paid for it. I think something under $50.00.

❌ Cons:

• Wish it could be a little bigger.
• The cable cord is too short. I am serious, it is super short. I have to stick so close to the power outlet to be able to use it. The manual said it is to reduce the risks of the cord becoming entangled or tripping over. You may use an extension cord if necessary.
• Need to hold on to the top and keep pressing the button for it to work.

How To Use The 3 Cup Mini Food Processor?

This food processor is quite simple to use. Before the first use, you need to remove all the packaging like wrapping bags and wash all the parts.

• Be sure to put the glass bowl on a flat surface.
• Put the chopping blade over the metal shaft which is in the middle of the glass bowl. You won’t miss seeing it.
  
• Put your ingredients into the bowl. If it is necessary cut your ingredients into 1/2 inch pieces. You can place up to 3 cups of dry ingredients at a time. 1 cup for liquid max at a time.
  
• Place the cover and motor on top of the bowl. Make sure the cover matches the glass bowl with two things sticking out of the side. It sort of looks like ears to me. 😂
  
• Plug the cord into the outlet. Press and hold either the I or II button. Remember I for soft ingredients and II for hard ingredients.
  
• When you are done just release the button and it will stop chopping.
  
• Remove the motor, cover, and the chopping blade carefully to take out your ingredients from the glass bowl.
  

If your model includes the storage lid then you can also leave the food in the glass bowl for storage.

How To Clean This 3 Cup Mini Chopper?

Cleaning this chopper is super easy. If you are lazy to handwash it, you can pretty much put almost all detachable parts in the top rack of the dishwasher. The only part that can’t be washed in the dishwasher is the motor.

To clean the motor just use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe off the exterior and be sure to dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth.

I usually handwash mine after each use and it does require cleaning after each use. I think putting it in the dishwasher can deteriorate the parts. I want it to last as long as possible.

To handwash each part is pretty simple. All you have to do is use warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. It is a little extra work when compared to using the dishwasher, but I think it is worth the time.

Forgot to mention you have to be extra careful when washing the chopping blade because the blade is sharp. you can get hurt if you are not being careful when handwashing it.

Weight and Dimensions

This mini chopper only weighs about 4.6 pounds with the following dimensions or measurements: 7.6″ L x 6.1″ W x 9.2″ H. It is under 5 pounds so it is still lightweight. It can easily be taken to places where you want it to be.

The only difference is that FPSTMC6613A-L comes with a storage lid for the glass bowl, and as for the model FPSTMC6613A-G it comes with a whisk. A whisk is used for beating egg whites for making desserts.
