Lady Finger Baking Pan Review
Chefmade 12.5" Non Stick Lightning Eclair Mould - WK9172
We love eating Tiramisu and ladyfingers are the main ingredients to make tiramisu but sometimes it is hard to buy ladyfingers where we live.
Well, we can also buy them online but I think they are expensive. I think making it yourself is a lot cheaper and you are also in control of the amount of sugar and ingredients you are putting in them. You can also make some sugar-free and low-carb ones yourself.
To be honest I really don’t have a choice, my hubby has a health condition and he can’t eat regular sugar so I have to make my own sugar-free ladyfingers.
If you need some ladyfingers for sweets then click here to buy it. As of today November 11, 2024, it is selling for $2.49 for 7 oz for 1 pack directly by Amazon. The price is pretty affordable when compared to other third-party sellers.

Lady Finger Baking Pan Video
If you want to know the result of my ladyfingers then watch the below video. The video is not that long.
Features
Take a look at what’s so great about this Chefmade mold. What I like about this pan is the contours that help me pipe and that’s what I bought this pan for. Click here to read more kitchen items.
Non-Stick
The whole pan is nonstick. It makes it easy to release your sweets out of the pan like eclairs or ladyfingers. It is not coated with non-teflon but food-grade coating instead. It is free from PTFE and PFOA.
I have tested this out when I forgot to brush a little oil or butter into the contours before adding my batter and after it’s baked it comes out easily and nicely. I was afraid it wouldn’t.
Contours
The mold has a total of 14 contours. Having contours on the pan makes it easy and faster to pipe the batter. It also has more accuracy.
Oven Safe
According to the box that comes with this pan, it is oven-safe up to 450 degrees. On the sale page here, it said up to 428 degrees. Either degree is fine with me since all I need is 350 degrees to bake my ladyfingers.
Metal
This is made with carbon steel. So it is hard which makes it easy to take it out from the oven and not like the silicone ones that are flimsy and easily dropped on the floor.
A silicone one might be cheaper but I don’t want all my hard work to be thrown away when it’s dropped on the floor. It also might be harder to release the baked sweets from the silicone.
Where To Buy This Chefmade Lady Finger Baking Pan/Mould?
I don’t know if you can buy this at your local store. I got mine from Walmart and Amazon online. I have bought a total of three molds because I want to make more ladyfingers at a time. I got two from Walmart because Amazon was out of stock at that time.
What’s In The Box?
- A carbon steel pan
- An instruction sheet
Lady Finger Baking Pan Review
I am giving this pan or mold a rating of 4.7. With this mold, you don’t need piping skills, and the result looks like a professional did it. When piping make sure you have a big pastry tube to make ladyfingers.
I bought and used this one. This pastry tube is made with stainless steel with a size of 11/16. I have been through a lot with finding and buying the right size for a pastry tube.
Finally, I have found the right size. Most of my pastry tubes are collecting dust in the drawers because they are too small for making ladyfingers. Unless I am using it to decorate a cake.
✅ Pros:
- It’s nonstick. A little to no spraying oil is needed.
- Easy to clean and use.
- It works great.
- Super fast on piping batters. Not having to pipe batters blindly anymore.
- It’s sturdy.
❌ Cons:
- Not dishwasher safe. Hand wash only for clean up.
- It’s kind of pricey.
Bottom Line
Will You Be Making Your Own Lady Fingers?
Learning how to make your own ladyfingers is a good idea. It’s just in case you can’t buy ladyfingers and really want to have some tiramisu. It’s a bummer if you are out of ingredients to make it.
